We want to share your journey with you so please start a thread of your own in the proper forum.

To start a new thread about your recovery, hover your mouse over "Hip"on the blue line at the top of the page for the drop down menu. Click on either the "Pre Op" forum. On the upper right hand side under the "Joint Replacement Awareness Day" banner, you will see a black rectangle with the words "Post New Thread" in white. Click on this, enter whatever title you want for your thread, but do try to keep it short and sweet, then tab down to the dialogue box and start typing your post which can be as long as you need for it to be.

By starting your own thread, you and your questions and concerns will receive the attention they deserve.

I am having a right THR on 8/16. Today is my last day of work. Tomorrow I will do laundry and get everything ready. So far my surgery is at 8:00am. I am sure I won't get much sleep the night before. I don't sleep much now due to the pain and I think about it non stop while trying to sleep. I am super nervous. Thank you to Bone Smart and all the wonderful support I see you give everyone. It has helped me a ton in the last month. I have been dealing with hip pain for almost 2 years now and I thought I could deal with it but one day it just went past that point and I made my appointment for surgery. I can barely walk and sitting even hurts. My lovely husband has to put my sock and shoe on for me each morning. I am looking forward to getting back to a normal lifestyle once again. Just one day at a time...

My time is drawing near for my THR... I'm super nervous about this surgery because this will be my second surgery on this hip.. Please keep me in your prayers on August 22nd...

Well surgery date came and went (Aug 20), do to a huge hiccup (hospital/insurance/doctor) I am awaiting a new date..... and yes after all the prep, no sleep, I cried like a huge baby. Hopefully I will get a date this month. Stay tuned for updates....
