Hello everyone! I am 49, with inflammatory arthritis, getting TKR on my left knee Sept 21. On the one hand, I'm terrified about post-surgery pain and recovery, but on the other hand, I'm really looking forward to a functioning knee and leg. I haven't been able to fully straighten or bend my knee in a long time. If all goes well I will hopefully do the right knee next year.

I have been reading the forum for a while but not posting. Have brrowsed through the recommended articles- a lot of great information!

Had my preop appt today so I guess it is real - I'm going under the knife Sept 8 for a left TKR. I'm encouraged by some of the stories I've seen on here of people who have gone off pain meds/narcotics fairly quickly. Although I know that isn't the case for everyone by a long shot. I just really want to be on the other side of this!

Hello. I am scheduled 9/13 for a total. It was 8/21 for a partial (PFA) but was rejected by my insurance.

Hello everyone! I just got off of the phone with OS office. My surgery has been moved up. I am now scheduled for Sept. 18th. WOW comes to mind. That is a 5 month move up. Looking forward and scared a lot has happened in the last hour.

I'm having a total left knee replacement on 28 September. Didn't have it done January last year because I wasn't well. Since then I've changed to a lady consultant, who's very nice. Wish me luck. THE DATE HAS NOW CHANGED TO NEXT MONDAY, (18TH)
