Don't know about dancin' anytime soon, but it definately gave me a much-needed positive, shot in the arm. Leg is still pretty sore this morning but the knee continues to bend much better & further. Hopfully, the soreness will fade and the ROM will stay.

How are you doing Lynn? We oughta get together for lunch this weekend and catch up. Whadda think? JMB

Here's a photo of the MUA I had done last Wednesday. I hope I can bend my knee this far (or at least something close to it) after my healing process is complete. Pretty amazing stuff eh? JMB
[Bonesmart.org] 2 weeks out

Went back to PT the next day. (Last Thurs.) Since then, been doing PT everyday. They originally had me scheduled for PT twice a day, but quickly realized that was too much; so back to one PT session daily for the next week. I see my OS again next Thursday. I'll know more then what his plans are for me in the weeks ahead. Quad is still sore, but improving. Knee joint is tender but I'm sure that's b/c I over did things yesterday. (2x PT sessions, two times on my stationary bike, and our son's HS football game last night sitting on the bleachers. Had one light PT session this morning. Been elevating and icing the knee since then. Feels pretty good this afternoon. Hope I didn't offend anyone by posting the pix of my MUA. JMB

I agree...what a GREAT photo!!! If you don't mind, I'm going to put that one in our library to show folks what happens when an MUA is done. THANKS!!!

OMG - it hurts just looking at it! However, it proves that it's possible for the knee to bend that far! Now, you just have to be able to do it by yourself, and when you're conscious! :wink1:

I hope your PT continues to go well, and your ROM improves! :yahoo:

Don't mind at all if you put it in the library. I hope this photograph gives BS'ers like me who've struggled w/ROM issues and the fear of MUA comfort, hope, and inspiration that your "new knee(s)" really can bend a lot. My goal is to one day post another picture of ME bending my left leg that far. Wouldn't that be grand! :yahoo: Wish me luck. And thanx for all your support. JMB

Now that WOULD be grand! I'll be waiting to see that photo and add IT to the Library too.

Mbitney,
I just dont think there can be enough photos on a site like this! We are all scrounging for as much information as we can get, right? Seeing a picture like that helps us see what our new knees are really capable of doing, at least while we are unconscious! I think it's always scary when they start bending our knees in PT, so it's good to see it won't just snap, even if it feels like it might! Maybe a good photo library would be a good idea!

What I wouldn't give to be able to bend my new knee to 130 degrees! (On my own and while I'm awake, that is ) Some day I hope....JMB

Went to PT this afternoon (Yes, some physical therapists do work on Sundays) and my ROM was 0-125. I'll take it! Definately a good afternoon. JMB
