Hello
@Josephine, trust you are enjoying a great day. Wanted to give you an update on my "
mid thigh" pains, had my appointment
this morning with my OS, I explained what happened with the PT treatment and subsequent pain. He immediately ordered several X-rays and luckily they all seemed normal he advised, but after further checking he said that the exercise the PT had me do was "
not appropriate" for me as I had only been "weight bearing" 2 days at that point.
He strongly feels that a "
muscle located under the IT Band" had been aggravated greatly and is causing me this pain. I told him of the advise you had given me as the
longer and frequent icing is helping immensely, so he said to absolutely continue with this as it is helping me and to take Advil instead of Tylenol as the pain has subsided a great deal when started to follow your advise. He also advised that
stopping all PT exercise is a must (as you had indicated as well of course) and just to simple try to walk but not overdo anything.
He will check it again in 6 weeks time with X-rays and if all feels and looks fine, he will give me a exercise routine that would be much better than the PT.
I thought it important to let you know what my OS's findings were as well that not "all PT" know what their patients need or if they need "
anything at all".
Again many thanks and I am feeling so much better and have a lot less pain following your advise. Every day it gets better!...
Thank you!!!
