Saw my surgeon for 4 month follow up. I wanted to address the raised lumps over the incision line. The incision line is well approximated and fading , but the lumps are bothersome and rub against my slacks causing irritation..it appears to be rope-like.He feels that it is not a suture granuloma...
I don't use my cane anymore. But I certainly used it up until 3.5 months when I went anywhere. I felt confident enough last week at 4 months to leave it in the car and walk through the mall without it. As llong as I didn't carry any packages. So you're still too early to go out without the...
At 4 months ,I still have right hip pain too. Am scheduled for an ultrasound guided cortisone injection this week. Had one in April with relief, but have fallen on my rt hip & knee 3 weeks ago and hurt it again. Just trying to walk faster than I should. Thought by this time I should be able...
Well, here I am... 4 months tomorrow. There were days when I didn't think I would be able to walk the malls anymore. I did just that last week. Took my cane, spent about an hour . Found out that I need to take someone with me to carry parcels. With handbag on one side & cane in other hand, I...
Hello everyone. Hope all of you are feeling better& knees are getting stronger. I am almost at 14 weeks post open now. I sure can tell when rain is coming. Knee gets very stiff & sore. That's when it's time to get the ice pack going. Any of you experience this kind of weather alert? Still...
I am finding that walking down stairs one after the other is more difficult and painful than I imagined even at 12 weeks. Lee must still be quite swollen inside
Tried walking down stairs today, one after the other instead of one at a time, wow, that was more difficult than I thought it would be. Maybe I will start with walking down 4 steps at a time & slowly increase one day at a time.
Thank you for all the advice. I actually find it necessary to ice & elevate when I'm on my feet foot longer than 15 minutes. Whether it's cleaning the house, preparing supper, grocery shopping. I thought that perhaps I could do my physio e exercises at home, them go to gym, ride bike for 10...
I also would break out in a sweat over the smallest activity. Long slow progress. Must be very patient with yourself. Every week you can do a little more and things get easier. But you have to k ow your limits and not overdue. Elevate and ice frequently. Energy drain present everyday. Have a...
Thank you for replying and your advice. It's the reason I like and enjoy this forum. I value everyone's input. I still have problems knowing my limits. I was at gym today, used machines without at a.felt they were heavy enough on their own.did ride stationary bike for 15 minutes with no levels...

Hi everybody. I just made it to nine weeks post op. Was at physio today and had a 120degree flexion& 0 degree extension. Should be pleased with myself, but my leg is still very painful, especially after walking through a grocery store or the mall. Seems to be concentrated more on the shin...
Hi everyone. Am now 7 weeks post op. My bend is 106 degrees. Don't know if I'm lagging behind or this is a normal state for 7 weeks. Have developed suture granuloma at top end of incision and along sides . Has anyone heard of this. Been advised that there is nothing I can do for this neither...
