    THR Hip Recovery

I had my THR in March and I've been experiencing major GI issues. It's affecting my daily activities. I tested positive for cdiff after taking amoxicillin for dental work back in September. I no longer have those symptoms but something similar (it's not cdiff). GI doctor wants to do a CT scan...

Spine SPINE - Fusion, Microdecompression, Other Procedures - What to Expect

@NightQuilter @Jaycey Interesting reading about your experiences w fusion. My neurosurgeon said I need a fusion. Originally the microdectomy (?) but now says my back would be unstable because of the large disc herniation (12 mm). and says I have a large air pocket right now. I’m terrified and...

    THR Incision scar tissue

@Elf1 I‘m curious about your spinal fusion. My neurosurgeon says I need one and I’m VERY scared of the after effects. Do you have ROM issues? Do you have to avoid doing some activities? Is there another place like bonesmart for back surgeries??

    THR Hip Recovery

@DancerHips Lol! You brightened my day, thank you! I certainly don’t feel like it. I credit my progress to my incredible surgeon and SuperPath. Also want to comment here for anyone who’s reading, from what I’ve read on here, seems like most suffered much longer than I did before surgery. I...

@Layla Thank you for the link! I feel bad for even complaining about it so the article really helped. It feels like the surgery was much longer ago.

    THR Hip Recovery

10 Week Update I am getting around pretty good and have gone back to work organising. I just finished 2 - 8 hour days of a client move in and I’m exhausted. Slept 12 hours!!! I can’t remember when I’ve done that. I still feel wiped out and I’m just going to chill today. After my job yesterday...

THR Missy45 Recovery: Surgery wasn’t so bad!

I had a labral tear and arthritis in my right hip. I did some research before I went to a surgeon that specialised in labral repairs. He said if there’s arthritis in the hip, he will not repair the labral because it accelerates the arthritis and the hip would have to be replaced in less than 2...

THR Problems 8 months Post RTHR

@mlight2 I’m so sorry to hear of your pain. I was in a similar situation before THR. I saw a chiropractor, pain specialist, kinesiologist, 2neurosurgeons, orthopedic dr, and 3 Orthopedic surgeons before finally deciding to have THR. I have a large herniated disc that the neuro dr. wants to do a...

    THR Hip Recovery

I had an organization job yesterday (a closet). It was a good first day back. The client wasn’t there so I didn’t feel pressure but still completed the job on time. All went well, no problems getting up from the floor, only pain I felt was sitting kind of cross legged on the floor. Came home and...

    THR Hip Recovery

7 weeks @Layla Thank you. I DEFINITELY don’t want chronic pain issues. I would be really interested to read what other people did that caused that issue. You are right, I am ready to get on with my life. I’m a little confused what I should be doing at this point. My OS has told me from day 1...

THR Missy45 Recovery: Surgery wasn’t so bad!

@Missy45 Thanks for sharing. Sounds like your recovery is going well. I’m encouraged by you saying your long walks everyday has helped. I think I’m lacking in that area. I walk a lot around the house, cleaning & errands but not for long distances. I need to get better & you‘ve encouraged me...

    THR Hip Recovery

@Jaycey Did you mean hip? I had a hip replaced not my knee. Is squatting hard on a knee when I’ve had the hip replaced?
