I had my first hip replacement at age of 18. I’m now 43 and had my second surgery. After my first hip replacement I went on and continued all the activities I loved! I am very active as well. It’s great to have mobility back and pain free. Don’t wait too long:)

Hi! Thanks for stopping in:) Doing ok, still working on ROM and the annoying stiff, pain after sitting to walking the first few steps. Also working on my walk. I still fell like my leg moves out in a circular type motion. Any feedback will help:)
Thanks!

Hi everyone, I’m about three months out and still having some inner groin tightness and discomfort. I also can’t bend to tie my shoelaces or bring the surgery leg up to my stomach. Any feedback will help

Doing great but after sitting or laying down and then getting up to walk my hip feels stiff and a little pain but goes away after 4-5 steps. Anyone else?

@Chaotic same prob here with the groin area, it’s so annoying too because I want to work out and stretch but I also have to remind myself to be patient. My kids have been at the spring tubing all summer ( I’m in Florida) and I just want it lay in the sun and get a tan but def not this summer...
Still having hip groin pain when I walk unaided or if I’m sitting and then stand to walk. When does this usually go away??

@Chaotic so happy to hear about your progress!! My knee pain is completely gone:) I also am waking without a cane most of the time and not limping but do bring trekking poles with me when I go walking and use them on and off. I’m still doing PT, signed up for another month 2X a week. I like...
I put a big glob of lotion on the bottom Of my foot on non operated leg and use it to rub lotion on the other leg calf and foot. Lol sounds funny but it works!

all the aches and pains and normal. I have to ice all the time. Even wake up at night sometimes to get ice. I would call your PCP today about the bed sore and get his advice on that.
Sounds like you are doing great!
