I still get a lot of pain in the joint. The ROM is pretty good. About 110. Can live with that. I'm thinking that the pain I'm still getting may be related to scar tissue, but don't know for sure. The discomfort I have now is more than before in some ways, but better than before tkr I other...
Has anyone had any issues with weight loss after TKR? I've lost quite a bit since the replacement. By quite a bit I mean 65 pounds. I did have to get my gall bladder out in Oct. 2014 and feel better, but am not sure that was causing that much of a weight loss. Still haven't put any back on...
@Mimi2u How are you doing? Have you been able to ride this summer? I've ridden quite a bit. Has been great to be able to hold my bike up with no problems. Hope this finds you well.
@RestAssured, thanks for the comments. I agree with you. I think that my knee will be totally different in a few months. And there isn't anything I haven't been able to do. And I was happy I could hold up my bike with no problems this spring.
By the way, you look great in your picture!!
I know that I have more scar tissue in my knee as when I do bend it I can feel real restriction. Could be worse and I'm grateful for what I do have. Something I can live with for sure.
Thanks maryo52. I haven't been on here for quite some time. I appreciate all the information. I did not go back to PT. I did get to a point that the pain above the knee was getting so bad that I did seek out other help. I went to a local clinic that I found that does amazing work, (wish I'd...
Hi @kknox
You'll want to be able to balance your bike ok and be able to hold it upright if it starts to teeter. I too, am waiting for this plus waiting for the snow to go away. All the best to you.
I haven't been on here for quite some time. To bring things up to date. My flexion has been at 100 for the last month. Ok, I guess. I still am getting a lot of pain above my knee, feels like a tight band right around to the back. I mentioned it to my PT on my first visit back in Nov. They...
Beth, I'm so sorry to hear of the troubles you've had. And to think you started out so well. Everyone else here is correct. Ice and elevate. I had a MUA after the 3 month mark and that was plenty soon enough. This is too soon to think about for you. Best wished and lots of hugs.
