    Knee Infection* My L T K R Diary 2020

No doubt one of the moderators will be more equipped to give advice. All I know is that a PICC line to administer chemotherapy is placed in your chest.

    Knee Infection* My L T K R Diary 2020

Just popped in to see how you're doing. I'm so sorry you're having all these problems. Thank goodness you persevered and didn't give up. Wishing you all the best and hoping this will all be sorted, put right and you'll be out of pain and making a good recovery before long and can put all this...

I'm glad you have finally seen your surgeon and he was able to put your mind at rest. Hopefully things will start to improve for you soon.

    Knee Infection* My L T K R Diary 2020

7 weeks when we think of it in relation to recovering from most surgeries seems a long time when progress is slow, but when you consider the minimum recovery time for TKR is 12 months and can be longer then 7 weeks is very early. It must be frustrating for you, but try not to be too disheartened...

    Knee Infection* My L T K R Diary 2020

It's tough when you get conflicting advice, but I'm a great advocate of doing what you feel is right for you. My chiropractor says our bodies are very good at telling us what they need if we listen to them and use our instincts. You know the pushing hasn't helped so time to take a rest. At my...

    TKR Lindylee's RTKR 20 January 2020

@aperture Isn't it wonderful how people are pulling together and helping one another? Here people are putting rainbows in windows for the children to look out for. Last night, we all stood outside at 8.00 pm and clapped, together in support of all the wonderful nurses, doctors and carers. It was...

    TKR Lindylee's RTKR 20 January 2020

@henrietta They're tightening up on the lockdown here too. Police have been stopping cars to check where people are going and they've also been walking round the streets. Rest those knees! @aries Good to hear you were ok after your fall. First thing we think of is our knees isn't it? Last week...

    TKR Lindylee's RTKR 20 January 2020

@aries We have a farm shop not too far away and a relative lives close to it so I contacted her to see what the situation was. She'd been the day before and bought eggs herself, but she went on the day and said it was bedlam, full,of people, with trolleys taking no notice of the guidance on...

    Revision TKR Multiple Knee Replacements

At least you're through the ops and on the recovery side now. Take care, be kind to yourself and your knees. I hope this recovery is straight forward and uncomplicated and you have the knees you deserve. With all the restrictions in place for social distancing it's not a bad time to be...

    Knee Infection* My L T K R Diary 2020

My leg is nothing like yours, but is still much bigger than the other. The size doesn't seem to be changing at all, which is really bizarre. Nothing I do makes any difference, but it hasn't affected the functionality of the knee or leg. I'm beginning to wonder if it's going to be like it...

    TKR Lindylee's RTKR 20 January 2020

@Zommom Being over 70 we're classified as being in the 'at risk' group, although trying to convince my husband hasn't been easy! Nearly everything has shut down, really it's only food shops, pharmacies and DIY shops that are open. You see some stupid videos of people being totally...

    Knee Infection* My L T K R Diary 2020

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe they'll decide to see you after they calll. I hope things improve soon, it must be tough not knowing what's going on.

@Zommom I know! I can't be left alone for a minute. :loll:How are you doing in these strange times? We're on lockdown, only allowed out to shop for essentials or medical appointments and to exercise once a day as long as we stay 2 metres away from anyone who doesn't live in our house. Who knows...

    TKR Second Knee Replacement

Could you find somewhere indoors to put that old bike? I'm hoping that we are still going to be allowed out to walk with the current situation. It worries me if we are forced to stay indoors, but with public spaces inundated with everyone trying to get some exercise and fresh air it's becoming...
