    [REVISION TKR] Jo's revision arthroplasty

Sorry to hear you're struggling. It sounds as if I'm trying to tell my grandmother to suck eggs and you may have tried it anyway, but I wonder if your tip to wrap the leg in clingfilm might help? On a different forum someone found that massaging her leg with castor oil at night before wrapping...

    [TKR] Zombies Love to Dance<

@Zommom Great to hear from you. I've been wondering how you're getting on. You sound as if you're in a good place in spite of the issues with the right knee. Hopefully, the right will catch up with the left before much longer. My next one is booked and I'm at the crossroads between being...

    2nd TKR anticipated January 2020

@Celle Thanks Celle. By the way my RTKR is 2020 - a slight typo I think. :) Shall I start a new post for the second knee or continue with the original? In addition I don't know if you want to add to my knee history a therapeutic arthroscopy in November 2001.

    2nd TKR anticipated January 2020

@Celle I have a date for my RTKR now Celle. It's 20th January 2020. My physio has suggested I ask to speak to my surgeon prior to the operation as I've assumed my constant backache when walking is due to a difference in leg length after the LTKR, affecting the lumbar scoliosis I have, but I...

[REVISION TKR] Knee Replacement Replacement 1/9/19

@maryo52 Hi, we're at similar stages timewise and I wonder if the side step ups are causing the increased stiffness at this stage? I was given some to do about 8 weeks ago to strengthen my hips and they aggravated my knee causing stiffness, swelling and discomfort so I stopped them with the...

    [REVISION TKR] Jo's revision arthroplasty

It all sounds pretty horrendous, but glad to hear you're over the worst now. Take it easy and look after yourself. You've done so much for others, time now for you to take care of you. Wishing you no more complications and a straightforward recovery from now on.

So glad to hear that everything seems to be going well with your recovery. We've missed you. That's an amazing ROM you have in such a short time. I'm impressed! Good luck with the rest of your recovery and I hope you get your computer sorted soon. Take care.

[TKR] Second tkr, now both are new

Well done! You're braver than me. I had my first done in January this year and due to have the second done in January 2020 so I'll be interested to see how you get on. How's the first knee holding up?

    2nd TKR anticipated January 2020

Thanks Celle, it was the augmentation if needed that threw me. Last time I was just booked in for a Complex TKR without a written description so was curious if this was something different. No confirmed date yet. I'll let you know as soon as it's booked.

    2nd TKR anticipated January 2020

I'm due to have my RTKR in January, one year after the LTKR. Today I received a copy of the letter the surgeon has sent to my doctor and wonder if anyone can explain something to me. In the letter the surgeon says he's listed me, hopefully for early January, for 'a right PFC total knee...

Glad to hear hubby's shoulder and your left knee are doing well, sorry the right is not playing nicely yet. Great that you're able to reduce the meds though. Go easy on that trip, but all looking good for you it seems. I hope I do as well!

@Lilli215 Great to hear that you're doing well knee wise. It's good to catch up with those I remember from first time round. Thanks for the encouragement. I hope your hip surgery goes as well as your knees. I'll look out for you in January

    [TKR] Tykey's second knee replacement

Shrugging doesn't seem to be doing you much harm! I probably fall somewhere between that and cautious landing me in the ODIC club more than once, but not too often fortunately. I do agree that sometimes we have to try something out to see whether or not we can do it.

@Zommom Thanks Zommom. Boy, am I glad we only have 2 knees! You sound to be doing great in light of everything else that you have going on in your life. here's to us partying with our 2 new knees in the not too distant future! :dancy::spin::egypdance:
