Hi there @Krista.
Always refreshing to read your honest posts.
I'm delighted that you have plans for you and your husband.
Your words of encouragement to me in my early recovery was indeed most helpful.
Continued health and happiness.

Cautionary Note re Running after Hip Replacement.
It's not for everybody.
I am a former Marathon Runner but I decided not to chance it as a guy in our club had to have a revision after about 8 years I think. They told him it was purely wear and tear.
I had to take up cycling and swimming.
I'd...
It's a mystery to me.
Why does it take so long to see a GP ?
I had what I was told was SI Joint pain before my hip replacements. I haven't had any pain there since the OP.

Best Wishes.
Joe.......
@mswalking .
Have a look at this and be honest with yourself.
Maybe even show it to your consultant.
It can be helpful in coming to a decision.

I agree with @Layla,
Sorry for your ongoing pain.
One of my hips was bad and the other one was getting there fast so after a conversation with my surgeon we decided to do both together.
I was really happy with this because though it was a little tough at the start it meant only one recovery in...
Hi @WildMedlar.
I hope your surgeon is sympathetic.
Age these days shouldn't be the determining factor. Rather it should be determined by how much your life is affected.
If your not successful with your current surgeon then seek out one that will operate on younger paitents...
Well done @Bevlah.
I'll pop these on your recovery thread so you can read up.
Hip Recovery: The Guidelines
1. Don’t worry: Your body will heal all by itself. Relax, let it, don't try and hurry it, don’t worry about any symptoms now, they are almost certainly temporary
2. Control discomfort...
