    Should one always have a MRI of the hips pre op?

    I can't have an MRI ever unless true emergency as I have a cochlear implant. So I'm going in Dec 29. All based on 2 X-rays and the same opinions from 5 different Dr.

    Same here. I was walking a lot. I thought it was muscle strain due to too little stretching. I only have one bad hip. It just came on real fast.
