I am curious--why does weather cause more stiffness in the knee? I believe some of it has to do with barometric changes. I've noticed that my knee is unusually stiff post-op than pre-op during weather events.:rolleyespink: Does anyone else experience this as well? :what: Does the marked stiffness resolve after a year or so? I hope? :prayer1:

I haven't noticed that the weather affects my joints like other people.

However, I walked into my ortho's office saying my good knee was stiff, and his immediate reply was, "That's because we're getting weather tomorrow."

I have lots of stiffness still. A friend who had TKA in 2000 said her knee continued to get better for years. She said it took a long time before it was in the background. All the sensations in the TKA knee can be irritating, huh?

It does in my case. Before the replacement, I could feel it like anyone else with no cartilage (as if it was IN the bone) but now it feels like stiffness or tightness in the muscles. It doesn't hurt at all like it used to and the stiffness is just upon moving after being seated for a period of time.
