United StatesUpdate....First dental cleaning post-op. Caught between OS wanting me to take antibiotics but leaving it to dentist to prescribe, and dentist wanting OS to prescribe. White Knight to the rescue in my GP-explained that antibiotics not really necessary, then prescribes me their one-dose standard treatment pre dental work. Win!

I think we forget just what a good source of help our primary doctors can be. Good for you it got sorted out.

I was told to wait 6 month before dental cleaning and to pre medicate with antibiotics (Amoxicillin 2 Grams).
Some surgeons are super-cautious.
