Congratulations on 115 and doing it the gentle stretching way.

Been stuck at 110 (at best) and today made it to 115.
These plateuas are to be expected---and now you are seeing wonderful progress!
She is very patient and we just tried some different stretching techniques to get me there.
You have quite a winner there in your PT---patience and gentleness are the keys!
So there is hope...it just takes a lot of patience (especially for me!) Celebrate
d with a nap!

Patience, Grasshopper, Patience!!

Thanks for the encouragement!!! I am hoping I get the same numbers back at PT on monday! Tim...love the grasshopper quote! I use it on my son's all the time...now I have to use it on myself! Yes...I am fortunate to have a great physical therapist...really follows all mantras on this site. Reading everyone's stories I realize how lucky I am...Hope everyone enjoyed a lovely weekend...we finally hit 50 on Saturday in New Jersey and it felt like summer!!!

So we just never learn do we! Jumped back into my regular life taking sons to school, going to lacrosse practices, driving all over the planet, volunteering for the school and spent 6 hours helping with a fundraiser friday night...and had to spend all of Saturday resting, icing and elevating! This past two weeks I have noticed some slight swelling on the front of my lower leg...not the knee...A stretch of 6 to 8 inches below the knee..not too noticeable but I felt it when shaving my legs one day. Have been very lucky with very little swelling so this was a little weird. This Wednesday i will hit 10 weeks...anyone else have this?

Haven't posted in a while...very busy with my boys spring lax season. Happy to say that I reached 120 bend and am at -3 extension. Have to keep working on the extension but happy with the bend so far. I am at 15 weeks! Still going to PT but only 2x a week going down to 1x. Little nervous about not having that extra push and need to make sure I continue working with the flexibility. Still have some stiffness but have to say things are going better than expected. It is amazing that just when you think things are not going great...you turn another corner. I have gotten so much help from reading on this site and it definitely helped with my recovery. Thanks to all for encouragement and sharing your stories. Will post again at 6 month mark...hoping to be in the ocean, walking on the beach...maybe hitting a tennis ball around!!! Good luck to all!

Isn't it great to get back into q regular life by dong all of the things in a normal way!

The paradox is that the greatness of normalcy is what we missed so much!

That stiffness will depart---trust me on that! It took me five months to lose a limp and six months to get to 80%-85%---so you can still get there!

You are reclaiming your life!
