Bilateral THR Sue's double hip replacement

@Whitmore If your blood test show low or no metal levels the issue is probably not metal allergy.

The link to the Chicago based lab is still valid:
Lab in Chicago has a metal allergy focus.

Do you have a local surgeon to discuss your issues? I would start there versus allergy testing.

Many thanks, Jaycey, for taking the time to reply. I had thought that an allergic response could develop even though blood levels are low(they are) if one were hypersensitive, which the Chicago lab's test could confirm. Am I wrong in this assumption? I'm new to all this--the only allergy I was aware of having was to cheap jewellery which I attributed to the nickel content. Oh, and dust mites, confirmed by an allergist when we were trying to find out why I have had a rash for about 8 years.

Also, can I add 'possible cobalt allergy' to my thread's title? Can't see how to do it using tools available.
