Yep, I did the same thing to get a straight leg, let it bridge between the chair and ottoman. It wasn't hard work and something different than elevating felt good.

I am just coming up on 6 months and just recently in the last few weeks got to 0 extension. The flex has been good for a while but the extension would not happen. Because of the Bonesmarties, I did not believe in the window of opportunity since so many people were still recovering their ROM into their 2nd year. They were right, without pushing too hard, allowing the tissues to heal and gently strengthening the muscles, my ROM is great. I can do pretty much everything I want to do, except run (which isn't due to the ROM).

It's great to hear that your knee has done so well. :yay:

Thanks Celle. I'm not bragging just recognizing that the window of opportunity is a bunch of hooey.

One more piece of information - I had my knees replaced because my legs have been at -20 for 4 years - so I need to undo years of short hamstrings and calf muscles.
I think that's the key. If you haven't had extension for years, it will likely take some time. Slowly but surely. I like the idea of your getting massage in PT.
eta: for me the pre-surgery issue was bend. I hadn't had more than about 105 in at least 10 years. The muscles just didn't want to go further. Gradually, working on it gently and doing daily activities I got to a reasonable bend. My guess is that extension may work similarly.
