I walked around - well hobbled and leaned on my elbows with a walker for the final 18 months - soon @easethepain you will be in recovery and we will be here to support you :)
 
@shrinkette Thank you. Positive thoughts generate positive results. Buckyland is a reference to our State mascot Bucky Badger as I am from Wisconsin.

@Jamie thanks for all of your information. It was quite useful. Unfortunately with unemployment the main criteria is being available for full time work. Which I am not.

@frieds I am saying a.prayer for you. Everything will be fine. Just think soon the deep set pain will be gone and you can live a healthy unrestricted life again. Liberated....I love it!! We are going to ace this challenge. Speedy recovery and good fortune to us!

@Poppet I know what you mean. It had to get worse before it could get better. I have an awesome support system. I am ready. Hugs back from Buckyland my friend :-)

Fantastic @easethepain, I get the sense from here in OZ reading your posts that you have a wonderful family and friends network - I loved the post about your BBQ and telling the stories - good to distract your thoughts. You are a great friend to lots of members also xx

@ease - I'm on the other side and hoping you are too and feeling good and relieved. So far so good for me. Surgeon is so good as I have heard he was in and out in 40 minutes. Walked today twice and did stairs. Getting the hang of this. Keep us posted - am thinking about you!

Hi @easethepain I want to reassure you on your surgery tomorrow.
I am 7 weeks out, was in the hospital one night only and then off I went.
It was nothing like I expected.
Things are great, and they will be for you, too!
 
Alrighty, Ease! I am starting to get worried about you my man, let us hear from you soon, please...
 
@waterman1 I'm glad you wrote... I've been wondering what happened to him!
Sounded like he was off to a great start & anxious to get it behind him. Hope he's ok.
 
He probably sailed through, off training for marathon and got too busy for us :). I hope anyway as Ease is super cool and I'm sure rocking this thing!
