Less is not more now.. More is more.
Almost 5 months.( 4 months and 20 days?)
At 3 months I was bored of sitting and healing.. Gradually worked up to swim and gym and stationary bike. 4 months knee announced it was insisting on training and work out.

We came to Florida Feb 4 and I jumped on the mountain bike... With great success. Done some hiking several 10 mile paddle trips.. the cycling feels wonderful even on Fl clay.. ( Apopka North Shore in the pouring rain ) . I can balance just fine.. no fear of falling
I sat in the car for too long today and needed to bike.. The knee now rebels against rest and is oh so happy and limber when in use

Now I may never get to sit down...knitting days are over?
When I get home it will be time..to ski!

Knee is about 97 percent of normal. I can squat and kneel unfortunately ( no more dirty floors!)
Yes I am very glad I had it done.

Great report! Four months is when my PTs began doing strengthening, I'm glad you held off on the boredom until then because it seems you're doing very well. Every knee is different, but I'm glad my PTs held to a certain protocol. No more knitting, but it sounds like you'd rather be out and about anyway.

What a wonderful report for those who are coming up behind you. To know they can do as well as you is a great incentive!

Well I cheated.. I was in the hot tub at 2.5 months.. and the pool and .. but mostly I used arms.. paddling is work on them! I loved the hot tub as I felt it was helping my flexibility.. I understand its not so good for swelling.
Not very good at icing. We had a spell in Dec when the high was minus 10 for a week.. I wasn't going to touch ice when snow was all around me.. And we keep the house at 64.
Elevation.. meh.. never did in bed..
Goes to show you can be a slacker and still succeed.

Oh and Click and Clack are silent.. all that noise the new knee made is now quiet with the cessation of swelling. So all ye of noisy knees now do not despair.

My recovery might have been easier because my other knee is fine with no arthritis..

LOL.. maybe all biking is not the same.. I haven't singletracked in years.. @bertschb ! 5 miles through a narrow path of sand.. ( its a horse trail). OMG the resistance...and the heat... Didn't fall off and that is a miracle.. dodging trees and palmetto.

My knee now has the feeling of a cooked noodle...

Give it a good rest, with plenty of ice and elevation. You and your knee both deserve a day off after that activity.
Wish.. we are camping.. Its 35 miles to ice. The elevation of course I can do. What I wouldn't give for iced lemonade! Its 90!

I hope you're having a great time! 90* is not for me! Give me the good ole 60s to play in! It's wonderful that your knee is letting you have a good time. Keep up the good fun!
