@sfbionicat50 Yes I will go home tomorrow, I have two friends that will be coming in to assist me during the day the the rest of the time I have two dogs that will want to assist me all the time lol thank goodness there small dogs and not huge..

@mrbionic I'm glad you'll have some help at home. I'm glad that your dogs are a comfort. Mine is too, even when he's begging for a treat the way he is right now. I guess he's just making sure I get up and walk every hour or so.:)

Discharge day.. go home in about an hr.. The OS came in this morn and looked at the leg and said my left thr is healing nicely :dancy: then said I understand your right was giving you hell last night.. Yep 3 morphine shots thru the night to keep pain at bay was my reply.. said well see me wed and we will set up that replacement ASAP! May be back here in 2 or 3 weeks.. :yes!: if right goes as easy as left did I will be dancing the jig soon!:good-bad:

Nothing like home @mrbionic :yahoo:

Wow, the 2nd one done in 2 or 3 weeks, not sure if I could go thru it again so soon...But then you'll be the real bionic man...lol...Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery at home and hope the other hip doesn't cause you too much trouble...Nothing worse being in pain....I am sure your dogs will like you being home. I have 2 German Shepherds, they're our babies...I adore dogs and they're better than most people....

@mrbionic Glad to hear you're going home - and getting the second hip addressed. It must be bad if you needed three doses of morphine. I can't imagine the pain. My OS advises at least 12 weeks between surgeries to give the body a chance to recover. That said, I have a friend who needed a revision within two weeks of her THR. She did just fine with the two surgeries. Hope you settle in well today and get some good snuggle time with the dogs.:puppysmooze:

Yeah it was a rough night as for my surgeon he said the only thing he needs to make sure is that my blood count is back up to 10 which he said already is so we'll just get on it...

@sfbionicat50, at home now and not making the other patients who got knee surgeries done, jealous. They take a step. Every ten or fifteen seconds moving very slow and I was and still am striding foot in front of the other. My dogs have not left my side since I got home, it's very loving but at the same time one of them wants to cuddle my operated leg. I did not need a paw message trust me.

Ahhh. What good pooches! Bingo wants to jump over/on my operated leg every once in a while. It's not so comfortable, so I understand. Sounds like you're doing great @mrbionic Slow and steady though. You need to rest up for the next surgery!

Well I am two months post op and doing well.. surgical hip feels great other then IT band still tight.. It is shorter then the non surgical leg so my gate is a bit limpy. This will be evened up when my right Hip is done next mo... You should have seen my Docs face when on 3rd week after surgery when he watched me ride up on my Harley for my appointment lol.. had no problems at all
