@Jesus fan, mainly a combination of less than ideal hip anatomy since childhood and a bit of misfortune before things got on track. My experience is not typical.

This is all very encouraging... “Lushly Built” is my new favourite expression. I burst out laughing when I read that. Pre-op tomorrow and I will be laying it on thick.... after discussions with my husband I will go into a recovery place for two weeks after the op which should help. Will also ask about wound repair as keen on doing hydro ASAP....

I will be heartbroken if they give me grief about my weight tomorrow... should i starve myself today and tomorrow before the meeting?

If not....What is one day of starvation going to do aside from make you miserable.

I'm afraid that my weight will cause it to dislocate.

Your surgeon will advise you on any restrictions post op. And no, your weight will not limit weight bearing or cause a dislocation. Please don't worry. These implants are very tough!
