Revision THR Hip Radiolucent Lines - Help I have an op booked for Monday!

No he didn’t but I had ankle pumps all the time in hospital. My grandmother had blood clots so I guess I want to be cautious. I’m moving but not a huge amount. Thinking I may just wear them until the therapist comes tomorrow they have me keeping my legs very still at night and using a foam box to keep them apart so I am thinking it maybe a good idea at least until I get moving more!

Ask the physio about your TEDs when they visit. They are almost impossible to put on by yourself without breaking every restriction in the book. If you are moving around regularly that's good. Are you taking any medication to thin your blood?

You should be fine with blood thinners and regularly moving around. Of course the decision to ditch the TEDs is yours. But you will fine plenty of threads on this forum discussing this very topic. Most people just ditched them.

I am so glad you are happy with your revision surgery. May your recovery continue to be a good one.

Oh did I mention Hurricane Irma! Three days home and we had to evacuate to South Carolina complete with walker, four dogs and disabled sister in law! Great way to start recovery!!!!

@allye Much sympathy. I was stuck for two days with my four grandniece/nephews all under the age of nine and five other adults as storm raged. Power back on yesterday at my home so I fled the chaos ASAP.
You are so fresh into recovery...I feel for you. I love them all, but oh my stars that was too much for me!
Hope you didn't suffer much damage at home and glad they escaped the surge for the most part.
Yuk on the travel too. Bless you.
What a recovery story you will have just like poor @Lerwick8 and her heatwave in California recovery story.
It begins..."it was the summer of '17 and I had my hip replaced. Then the biggest hurricane in Naples history arrived...":sigh:

Hi Allye,

I am scheduled for my second revision in 2 years so I have been very interested in your story. We didn't get Irma as badly as you all did, just a big blow and a lot of rain. . .a lot of wind blown rain. I can't imagine you had to deal with the worst hurricane in history since your surgery. How are you doing? It is helping me a whole lot to read other stories as I prepare myself mentally and emotionally for my surgery just after Thanksgiving. I wish you well while you are recovering; hope all is going as it should. The guidance and care you get on this line is absolutely remarkable. I don't think I could be doing this without them all: Jamie and Jaycey and Mojo and Layla and Joe and Josephine and so many others have been angels for me. Best thoughts to you, Nancy

It's getting closer. Tomorrow I get a root canal done before surgery because it would be 3 months post op before I could have it done; so the appointment has been moved up. I feel like they are getting me ready for the guillotine. Have to get my toes cut too. My husband will do a lot of things but says he can't cut them "pretty". What would I do without him. The pain fluctuates, worse at night. I almost feel like my leg is hanging in the socket but that's nerves because there is no spectacular pain and I know what a dislocation feels like. The spectacular pain comes when I get out of bed. Geez, that hurts like the devil. My children and one grandchild will be coming for Thanksgiving. There will be 10 of us at a restaurant eating at the buffet this year. I am tickled. The few days before the op will be cheery at least. Oh man, I wish this was over! I am distracting myself by making origami boats for a party of a friend. Cheers, All, especially those of you in recovery. Take heart. I wish you great success stories!
