TKR Hello Everyone - First time knee replacement patient here : )

Yes - but only the upper calf near the knee - I think it's the politeus muscle/tendon. It feels sore as does the back of the knee, and in particular there's an achey feeling if I try and drag my foot towards the the knee along the carpet. It was ok at 8 weeks but has got steadily worse since then and I'm at 14 weeks now.

@Margot … you would probably benefit from some calf and hamstring stretch exercises, if you’re not doing them now. This tightness can happen following joint replacement surgery because your body is healing and adjusting to its new normal alignment. It would also be okay to take some Tylenol for a few days on a schedule (1000mg every 6 hours) to see if that helps.

Hello Margot,
Happy Three Month Anniversary!
How is recovery going for you? Hopefully your calves are feeling better these days. Let us know how you're progressing when you have a minute, we'd love to hear from you. Until next time...all the best! :)
@Margot
