TKR 5 weeks today

14 weeks. 118 Extension and -2 Flexion. Almost perfect. Proud of myself. Therapist and doctor want 120 Extension and 0 Flexion.

16 weeks Wed. Ortho surgeon on Fri. 27th. Xrays taken. All looks well. Go in for a follow up exam in a year, unless something bad happens. Dr. and I both pleased with the results. Will continue working with the knee at home, to keep strong. Can even start weight lifting again.

Great news! Getting back to "normal" and getting to do things we want to do is such a boost to our morale. But don't be surprised by the occasional tight band feeling sneaking in again or some swelling after a really full day and some aches and pains along the way. Some of this you would experience with your original equipment and has nothing to do with the implant.
