Hi, My surgery for my right, knee, my first TKR is scheduled for November 5th. I went through having Leukemia and survived that so I figure this is another fight I have to fight. After I get through the right then will need to have the left one done. Look forward to learning from this site what to do or not to do. Thanks for being out there.

November 20th is my date. 51 year old male getting a Total right Knee replacement. Little nervous. Was all set after meetings but ran into a friend that has had a nightmare of events. So, trying to do all the right thing. Eat right, lose weight, workout every day with focus on strengthening Knee and quad mussels.
 
My RTKR is scheduled for this coming Friday 1st November, starting the month with a blast. I feel ready to have it done, but am very nervous about the thought of not having a General Anaesthetic. I will be having a Spinal Block from the waist down and be listening to my iPod during the procedure, although I'm hoping that enough sedation will send me to sleep!
I'm looking forward to "the company of others" in this forum.

I'm having the same surgery on 11 Nov, except that my PKR is 8 years old. Bonesmarties are all brilliant and will give you all the support you need - and more. Linda x
 
Having my my right knee replaced today at the Hospital for Special Surgery. I'm feeling confident as I had my left knee replaced in December 2011. Thank goodness for Bonesmart :)

To my Fellow November Nimbles, praying for a smooth and successful recovery for those who are in the post-op phase, and for the many of us who are having our surgery this week. We'll be saying goodby to our old knee/s that served us well for most of our lives, we're going to say Thank you, but it's time for me to move on now, pain free. I have said a prayer for you, we're all going to be just fine! :angel:
Hoping this will provide you some comfort in knowing this is a positive thing!
