The doctor told me to use alcohol wipes on it and to keep it covered.
I am going to go out and get the saline solution tomorrow and use that. @Josephine how many times a day should I wash it out? Also thank u very much for the input I have been really going crazy about this.
Glad to hear that you are doing well. Welcome to the other side, it is all up hill from here. I had the wedge with posterior approach (was not given it when I went home), but they said I did not need one with the anterior approach I had two months ago.
I had my second THR on Nov 18th 2015 by anterior approach. Everything was going fine up until about week three. I started having a problem with my incision.
I was at my PC's office so he looked at it and said it was infected on the outside and gave me antibiotics to help it. The top part...
Well finished my first week back at work part time. I am really tired when I get home but it is good to get out of the house. I have even been sleeping a little better the last couple of nights. I am still taking the pain killers at night but at least I can go longer before I get woken up now...
I am only doing like three or four hours a day. My job is pretty laid back all I do is sit at my desk and do the bookkeeping or answer phones so I am not really over doing it. I was working from home before this so the only difference is driving to the office It is a small office only three...
I have been sleeping on my side now for about two weeks. The doctor and PT said it was alright as long as I kept a pillow between my legs. It took a bit to get use to but I am getting there. I am really looking forward to being able one of these years to sleep on my operated side since that is...
Well I am almost 4 weeks post op. I am able to walk some without the cane and I have started driving again. My family doctor also released me to return to work part time if I want to as long as I am taking the blood thinners. I am doing PT twice a week. I am still in some discomfort but it is...
No it does not say one or two it says one which really surprised me cause in the hospital and rehab I was getting 2 every four hours. I am also taking Tylenol but they really do not do much I can not wait until I get off the blood thinner and can use my 800 mg Motrin I have a Rx for.
Well today was a better day. I have started taking the meds every five hours and it has helped a lot but the nights are still hard. I plan on trying to talk to my PC about it on Tuesday. Thanks for all the info and suggestions given
It was not my surgeon who gave me the pain meds it was the so called doctor at the rehab I went to who wrote the Rx. The guy never even saw me. When I was in the hospital and rehab I was getting them every 4 hours. I am going to talk with my doctor next week about changing it. I tried calling...
Yes my PC knows about the surgery he has to give medical clearance for it here. My mom has a appointment with him next week and I am going with her since the PT is in his office so I plan on talking to him. As for work yea I know it was stupid to go in but the boss keeps bringing up all these...
