For inspiration
One of the few things I asked my OS on the day he scheduled my surgery was "When will I be able to dance again?" Dancing is my favorite thing to do. In order of preference: salsa, cha cha, hustle, bachata and west coast swing. I hope I'll get good news at my post-op appointment on February 2!- Salsera

I recently found this site. I had LTHR on December 23, 2015. Went to rehab on December 26, and came home on January 1, 2016. May I please be an honorary member of the January group?:wave: I already posted responses to a question in the pre-op TKR forum re: HSS.- Salsera

I stayed 3 nights and went to a rehab facility on Saturday, December 26. I live alone and could not be sent home at that point. I stayed in the rehab for 6 nights. I went home on January 1, 2016. TKR at Hospital for Special Surgery in NY
I had a left THR with Dr. Della Valle at HSS on December 23, 2015, and I am doing better than I expected, with no problems. I believe that my speedy recovery must be related to the surgeon's expertise. He came to visit me 3 times after the surgery, while my roommate's surgeon did not visit her...- Salsera
