Hi take as much time as you need you know your body I had an above knee amputation 6 weeks ago and like you I am struggling to I have had two bad falls and I know I can't push any harder or faster take care and go at what pace you believe in

I have struggled with dislocating knees since my teens in uk I hung on and waited and waited had injections left it to late ended up with a fusion now facing above knee amputation in August I missed out on all sports my only advice get it done ASAP and grab life by the hand and kick on.
Hi I'm 43 and my OS kept putting my surgery off from the age of 30. Needed TKR by the time I got to 40. They decided it needed doing so I go in for surgery only to be woken to be told there was nothing left of knee joint and a TKR was not possible. Only option was full knee fusion which was done...
Don't leave it I was passed around by surgeon saying too young now waiting amputation as I had a fusion and hate it go for it and then u can get on with life with new knees x

Hi carol yeah pain is bad but I take tramadol and amtitripline and paracetamol my daughters are 16 and 19 both still with me and youngest at college eldest a fulltime dog groomer but they are amazing do everything I can't do would be lost without them hope pain eases take care x
Great advice I have seen my GP today and she has referred me to a psychiatrist to prove I am not mad and am 100% ok with my decision and she will use the report to pish for amputation thanks x
Hi Josephine my surgery was done at Durham uni hospital I am currently looking for a top surgeon who does amputation as I am mentally and physically drained and have considered even crashing my car so leg gets so badly hurt amputation will have to be done thanks for support x

Hi I had a fused knee two year ago and food has been a massive battle I have lost 4st 6lbs in the 2 years but I was overweight before surgery so I'm really happy I find if u eat little and often maybe when meds are due it helps find little things u like and try from there good luck x
