    Good to hear the socks can go - will wait till tomorrow to get the official word haha - become quite attached to them although don't help when I'm tanning in the garden .....just be good to get back driving and some independence

    So nearly six weeks after LTHR, still walking with one crutch, due to see consultant on Tuesday when hopefully he will give me the OK to drive and remove the compression socks.     Jas, hi - my consultant maintains 6 weeks min before I can drive and you have to advise Insurance Co that you have had a hip replacement

    Sharon/Peter, thank you for the comments, did my first half mile today with one crutch, will look to build gradually over the next few days... Sharing thank you for the tip on walking without the crutch, will try tomorrow Also last day for blood thinning injection, was anyone else worried...

    approaching 4th week now and no longer on meds , unless I've overdone the exercise , out of interest what sort of distances etc are people walking after 4 weeks ?

    Jaycey, hi thank you, only 5 more injections left :), but still got to wear compression so kings for another two weeks - does everyone really wear these for 6 weeks? ADMIN - how do I change thread title?
