@Me2 Sheryl, Nah.... The second hip is not yet forgotten. I still have electrical shocks at random times and pins/needles when i apply pressure to the area below the incision down to about a couple inches above the knee. I had this for several months on the first hip, and then it went away; I...
@Me2 Sheryl! Good to hear from you.
I am sorry to hear of your skin cancer; a friend of mine had mohs surgery recently and it went very well.
I hope yours will, too.
And, I hope you get a resolution to your back issue. Good golly....
Have you been able to do any horseback riding?
Hi @Lmflora Lynn, yes I remember you! I guess we are on the same schedule.
I'm doing well, all in all.
Had a hamstring pull on other leg; that was slow to recover from.
One quirky thing: I still have some electrical twinges or pins/needles on the new hip side at 6.5 months.
I hope that goes...
All is well and good now...
Still waiting on last remnant of scab to go away so I can go to the pool for Memorial Day.
Hope everyone is doing well and happy!
@Me2 Hi Sheryl, just saw this.... Hope your lumbar injection and PT helps!
I go back to work next week after Memorial Day. Not looking forward to it.....
I liked not having to worry about a schedule and getting things done.
Best!
Thanks for the good wishes, @Layla !
All in all, I am doing very well, with much faster recovery than Hip One.
I still have some discomfort in the area about an inch above the knee, to the bottom of the
incision; but its all on the non-groin side of the incision. The incision itself doesn't...
Hi @anny !
For the bathroom, you can call a plumber and have them install a handicapped bar.
I did that for my first hip four years ago; its still there, of course; and I am glad I have it.
Its a standard ADA handicapped bar.
Hi @MyJampa ! Another dog name... :dogwalk:
I'm glad you switched your antibiotic away from levaquin; and the new one sounds like the right fit.
It's cold here in Virginia (again) after an 80 degree Friday. Saw some snowflakes, but nothing like
what I have been hearing about like your record...
Hi @Layla Thanks for checking in with me.
My 2 week checkup went well; PA said I am doing 'fantastic'. :happydance:
I am no longer using the cane.
Yesterday, I walked two 1.25 mile walks; without the cane this time.
Iced upon return.
All in all, doing just great!
I hope everyone is doing...
Hi @waterman1 Great to hear from you again! Yes I remember you and our chats!
Glad you are doing so well.
I am going for my two week checkup tomorrow; I walked two miles today!
It was split up into two walks though. :friends:
@MyJampa : Hi there!
Yes, Major and Heidi are weims. You look like you have poodles.
Dog people are good people. :dogsniff: So are cat people. LOL :kitty:
About Levaquin, it had always worked well for me in the past when I would
get bronchitis. It did effect my father negatively, though...
@Constanze Hi there, and thanks for sharing your thoughts above.
My avatar name Major Heidi is for my two weimariners Major and Heidi.
They are the sweetest!
I am still cold.....
Brrrr.
Interesting about the low heart rate. I have a LOW heart rate.
It is usually in the high 50s, though after...
Having a good day today! (day 4 without narcotics).
I am back to using the ice, and did notice this morning that my operated leg is getting closer
in size to the other one.
I went for an outdoor walk a few minutes ago, down the street to the cul-de-sac and back; maybe 500 steps.
Feel good...
I have been off oxycodone for 48 hours plus.....
Last night into right now I have the experience of 'I cannot get warm no matter how many things I cover myself with".
I think this may be something like light withdrawal symptoms?
I am taking 6 500 mg tylenol per day and it seems to be ok in that...
