still on the mend here - today got my numbers to 120 over 0 so i'm doing really well. i am continuing p.t. because of the foot drop issue and it is helping. i'll know more when i see my OS on wednesday. still some swelling, still elevating and icing. short walks with a cane. sleep...

i was given the green light for short drives after a month and only because my requirement for pain meds was dropping down. use caution and be safe!

it is a hard balance to keep pain under control given a history of abuse but i think josephine has it dead on. do talk with your os or primary and take your wife with you. she needs to be part of the plan, imho. also i agree, icing can help a lot to decrease pain. i have some gel packs that...

i have experienced a feeling of the back of the knee being "pulled" when i have held it straight for extended periods, mine seems to get better with a gentle bend. however, even post op, i have heard people can develop a bakers cyst. might be worth checking into.
i had my left knee done 1-17 and i can't rise w/o my arms giving me some help. each of us is different regarding rate of recovery and i can see a future goal of not having to use your arms but it seems a bit fast for me.
