I also have pain when I first get up from a chair. I have had it for months---initial recovery was very fast-I'm at 12 weeks and never in a million years did I imagine I would still have pain. I have been walking a lot--even the first few weeks--and doing lots of PT--more than what was...
Thanks all for your help. Sorry I haven't been doing my postings correctly. Certainly didn't want to be rude. Computers tend to be challenging, especially mine!!!!
Glad to hear about "start-up" pain. I have been taking 2 walks - morning for an hour, night ½-1hr. Avoiding hills for the most...
I'm at 11 weeks---I walk 1½ hours a day and have for the last 2-3 weeks. I have pain when I first get up from sitting (similar to "before" but not as bad) I have seen no improvement at all in this time! I have stopped going to PT and have even stopped exercises at home because I thought maybe...

T'hanks for all the replies! It certainly helps to know other people went thru the same thing and it all turned out ok. I am taking a break from the PT exercises -- was doing 4x what I was told to do plus walking 1½hrs a day. I may well be overdoing, but I didn't think one could do too much...

You're not alone and I doubt it's your weight---I am slim and altho PT wasn't a problem I was very depressed at 2 weeks. I was told that it is a very slo process and try to be patient. At 10 weeks, I am starting to feel pretty good altho I still havepain and am not where I want to be.

I saw my surgeon last week and he removed restrictions except crossing my legs at my knees. Then I PT(connected to his office) and they seemed to think I should have restrictions. I can't seem to find out if there are usually a lot of permanent restrictions and have become very frustrated and...
