    8/1/17....first left hip replacement
    8/14/17....full debridement due to infection.
8/28/17....left hip removed and antibiotic spacer put in. The OS had to split the femur open to remove the defective and infected hip. It was then wrapped with wire about 10 times to close up the femur bone.
10-2-17....fell using my walker and broke my femur bone.
10-5-17....OS screwed a plate to the femur to repair break.he also installed a metal rod to give additional support at the break.
10/10/17....OS had to replace metal rod because it bent somehow (he’s never seen that happen). I was admitted into the hospital for 30 days so the Dr. could keep an eye on the leg and make sure the leg was healing.
2/5/18....OS had to go into hip again due to the IT band(?) being too large and was rubbing every time I stepped
3/1/18.....went to Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for a 2nd opinion (I had developed another infection). They agreed with the OS that the hip needed to be removed completely and for it to stay out for 2 years to ensure all infection was gone.
7/28/18....surgery was performed and left hip was completely removed. This leaves me to my condition now, about 7 months into the 2 years of it being totally removed.
