1yr out, solid 135 degrees!
Gentle and slow, but consistent works!! Didn't think I'd get this much back and even the PT is shocked. Feels solid and strong but still have to watch out how much I do. So glad to have the ROM back!!
Thanks to this forum that helped me keep trusting. ♡♡
I SO remember feeling EXACTLY like this. It definitely gets better. It really does. I'm in my 8th week and regaining more and more access to normal life every day. It's a slow go but feels like things are getting better faster now. Those first 4 weeks were the worst and even weeks 5 and 6 felt...
Got 105 today!! Wahooooo!
I gently push, stretch, and work this every day, but do not push into or past pain. Also work the ice and elevation religiously to get swelling down. Able to do more and more with every bit of ROM that comes. Feeling proud and excited about the progress.

@Ravendancer THANKS for posting your numbers. Well done on all that work and rehab.
I think they focus on numbers here in the states as they need to justify for insurance and such. Also, sounds like some still believe in a ROM window. I like my PT guy as he says he's not worried unless he...
@mendogal
Thanks for asking. ♡ Pain gets better and better every day. Now, at 5 weeks, mostly just annoys me at night... discomfort more than pain. Walking further each week as well. Been walking without a cane in my home for a while, but still use it outside so folks give me a bit of space...
@selketine congrats on the 2 month mark!! Thanks for sharing. I saw someone at PT who is 6 weeks out and couldn't help myself...I said, "look at you sitting in a chair all normal with all that bend!!" She laughed and assured me it will come. Cars are the worst right now but gets a tiny bit...
Bit by bit....
Wk 2.1 - 60/4
Wk 2.2 - 80/1
Wk 3.1 - 82/0
Wk 3 2 - 84
Getting stronger everyday and so glad to see my quad firing more reliably. Looking forward to getting a comfortable 90 so sitting in chairs is easier.
@Sdfoxy1 thanks so much for sharing your weeks and numbers. I do see that things can plateau at times but then continue to improve later. That's a helpful reminder that a plateau doesn't indicate the end of improvement. I find the same that even though the external swelling has lessened, I can...
Omg. I feel you about the 3am time. I often wake multiple times a night and I don't think I've missed seeing 3am on the clock a single night since surgery. I'm 16 days out and sleep is a challenge. I hear so many folks say it gets better, so I'm doing my best to stay optimistic. The sleep...
@benne68 no worries at all. I totally hear what you are speaking too. Luckily I'm super flexible and can tie my shoes with a straight leg. Haha
But yes, there definitely IS a difference between orienting just towards some random numbers vs orienting towards functionality.... but yes definitely...
@benne68 thanks so much for your response and encouragement. I have seen that post before, and I will say, with all respect, the words are a bit contradictory. As you clearly show with the list of numbers at the bottom of your post, ROM IS related to functionality. I am not looking at the...
