Does anyone have any thoughts on how important it is to get formal physical therapy on a regular basis post op as opposed to just doing exercises give by the physical therapists at the hospital at departure?
hi Jamie. I only take the lorazepam at bedtime if i need it. Usually take paracetamol a few hours before bedtime and when I wake up in the morning. I took it tonight but I still am not sleeping 1½ hours after taking it. Will do some meditation/breathing now and hopefully that will help me get to...
Hi Jamie. Just taking 1 gram of lorazapam. Not taking it for pain as i am doing okay on just paracetamol (1000 mg twice a day). Doing it because i just can't fall asleep. When that happens i try to meditate or watch videos (or as i call them, my 'electronic storytellers') until i get sleepy but...

Thanks fellow california gal! I read the articles you sent and they are all very, very helpful, especially the energy drain. I am trying to support my body and healing by eating well (I am craving protein, especially meat, which i usually don't eat alot of) and 'vegging' on videos to stay quiet...
First, thank you all for your postings and responses -- they are all very helpful. The biggest challenge I am having after surgery (I am now 2.5 weeks) is accepting how horrible I feel overall. In short, i feel as though i've been hit by a bus. Very weak, head fuzzy, sometimes a bit nauseous...
