    It's only an hour flight, then I get to relax for two days in a motel waiting for the ferry (4 1/2 hr) ride home. I've been walking around and getting my own coffee from down the hall, so all seems good. Thanks for the help, Dave

    Yeh, and it just keeps getting better, I have been issued a cane and...OS just stopped by and said I could go home tomorrow a.m., but I have to wait for another day to catch my plane @ 8am Friday. Oh well, they have good food here as I can order anything I want. I can't believe the recovery...

    Dr got a laugh from this! Anterior RTHR - First post from the other side. This is the day after surgery and I'm doing great! Went from walker to crutches within seconds and therapist is thinking about a cane when leaving. Haven't needed pain meds other than Ibuprofen for inflammation. Dave

    Thank You All, it's just as I thought. Appreciate the DIY PuppyLove. I'm living in Haines, having surgery in Anchorage then plane ride on the third day back to Juneau then catch 4.5 hr ride on ferry back to Haines. Yep, I'm not planning on missing our salmon gill netting and halibut skates...

    Ice Pack/Compression Unit Although I believe these folks are taking advantage of my situation, thought I'd ask the experts. Getting the anterior THR on the 13th my Dr said nothing about it and it's not covered by insurance...which is my first and second clue. Dave
