Thanks for your reply.
Sounds like you are going through a worse time than me at the moment.
Mine is progressively getting worse but at the moment I am getting about ok. I just don't want to leave it and find myself in constant pain and unable to move further down line. I'm 52 and like you need...
Hi Josephine
Thanks for your reply and info.
Apologies for vagueness on type of hip. At the time all I knew was I had to have a hip replacement. I would have to say it is a resurfacing.
I am currently keeping notes on how it is each day as there is no real pattern to the pain etc
I have an...
Hi folks
Looking for a bit of advice / support. 8 years ago I had hip surgery on my left hip which I'm sure was classed as a Birmingham hip replacement/resurfacing?
All was well and I was on here documenting my recovery. 4 years into my new hip I started seeing some problems. Pain when walking...

Sounds like you are well on the road to recovery, I'm the same with crutch I use 1 stick outside but nothing in the house. Mine feels like it will lock when raising but eventually this eased and got stronger.
Hi Sally
You won't remember me, I'm the guy with the bruising and 2 scars!!
I am feeling your pain. You have got to be the bravest person I know , going through everything you have. You have to concentrate on yourself now and forget the negatives and people letting you down. I can't believe...
Hi again @mystikfairy61

How is your recovery going?
Can I also ask about your shoulder repair? I am having trouble with my shoulder/arm and can't pin point exactly the problem. This has...
Thanks Sally(Vetgirl)
Good advice indeed. I seem to have a good day then struggle a bit the following day. Resigned myself to the fact that it will take time and seem to be making progress.
Anyway my ailments seem very minor next to you. How are you coping now? Hope everything is moving in the...
Aye Thanks John
Think I'm guilty of the same thing. Trying to run before I can walk so to speak. Seem to be heading in the right direction now. Biggest hurdle was pain for a while but doing well now.
Take it easy.
Cheers
Just to let you know I upped the dose as mentioned and this certainly helped. I am back to 1 dihydrocodeine every 4 hours now as I am more comfortable. Only grumble now is pain in my shoulder but this is unrelated. I am able to move on with my exercises now!
Many Thanks
Tommy
