BoneSmart has been advising people for several years that antibiotics are not necessary prior to dental treatments.
Dental antibiotics: Evidence insufficient to recommend prophylactic antibiotics for dental procedures

A statement jointly issued in 2011 or 2013 by the ADA (American Dental Association) and the AAOS (American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons) confirmed that prophylactic medication with antibiotics was not necessary for dental procedures, except in people with immune-compromised conditions.

Thank you so very much for your prayers and well wishes tomorrow!! Your support is so helpful to me. Looking forward to the light at the end of this long tunnel. My surgery is at 730 am tomorrow. Will start a recovery thread.
