Thank you! I feel so much taller. I do love my new knees. Using a cane for balance but able to walk some without it too. Spring is a good time to recover. Feel better mentally.

@Layla wow, 2 months isn't really very long, is it. I went out with friends for the first time since my second surgery Sunday. People are commenting how much better my posture is and how I am taller. I feel tall again. It's amazing. @trinket @Whoodee We are tough people. I find my balance is...

I started doing computer work. That time sitting at the computer caused me some soreness. It would have been a better idea to rest longer. Definitely need to improve my balance. I'm using a rollator outside and sometimes a cane inside. The mental part feels tough. Just being patient, and I feel...

@Axx72 thanks. I'm anxiety prone to begin with. It hasn't been easy leaning on bf so much either, for me or him. One day at a time

Thanks for asking. I'm still using a cane inside and have a rollator walker for outside. My balance still feels a little wonky. My stamina is better. It's not a fast thing. I get tired pretty easily. I'm only taking extra strength Tylenol now, about every 12 hours. I can see being able to cut...

Great you're on week 4. I stepped up the ice and elevation and movement today. It's a lot easier now that I have a better handle on the pain meds. Good luck.

They gave me a chart of my medications. Last time the nurse wrote down specifically what to take when and I was religious about it. I am going back to that, and Rob is helping me with reminders, plus alarms in phone. You're right, I couldn't do it in my head in this state of mind. Thank you.

Thanks. PT guy said getting the swelling down will help. Going into the second week, so elevating and pumping my feet.

I spoke to the home nurse this morning and went over everything with the home PT person this afternoon too. I am scheduling alarms in my phone and filling in the scheduling chart. Thank you. You'd think after going through it a few months ago I would have handled it better this time. Enough...

I had my second replacement, TKR-L, 1/27/23, a little over a week ago. They gave me extra strength Tylenol, 5 mg oxy, and tramadol 50 mg. Instructions Tylenol 2 every 6 hours, oxy every 6 hours for breakout pain, tramadol every 6 hours as needed for severe pain, 7 - 10 pain scale. Not to take...

Nov 15th will be my 4 month anniversary for RTKR. Tomorrow I'm going to see the surgeon to start the process for LTKR. I did do a couple of months of PT and I like the PT woman very much, had worked with her before surgery. I get that it's not for everyone, but it helped me, thank goodness. Lots...

@hawk2go I went again today with a friend. Ho Chi Minh City, it was hotter and we went after lunch. I had a dizzy spell and had to sit on a fire hydrant for a minute. It's true that chart here about your energy going into your healing. @benne68 I know, that transition from, yay, it's done, I...

I decided to take a couple of more weeks before I go back to working. That experience (plus thinking about doing the other knee) put me in a funk for several days. MyChart had some exercises for me, I think it was the prone hamstring curl that irritated my knee. Nixed that. Did resting and...

Yes, it was too soon to do computer work this week, end of week 4. I can put my leg up on a chair and work for about an hour, after that I start getting sore. Live and learn. After this job I am taking more time off. I can take a shower without a shower chair now. That was a good milestone...

First post-op appointment today. Surgeon said I was a star. Made me super happy to hear that. Took x-ray and it looks good. At 115. He said it was up to me if I want to do outside PT but with my progress he didn't consider it necessary. I'm on the fence since I have done a lot of therapy, and I...
