So I just went through knee replacement #2. (1 week out) It’s funny how easily you forget what the first one was like and wonder why you put yourself through this again. My first surgery was very successful and somehow my mind erased all the pain and depression that came with it ( see previous...
Has anyone used a brace called dynosplint? My dr prescribed it to help with extension. You are supposed to gradually increase usage of it. Apparently it’s the length of time you wear it that counts, not so much the tension. I can get to about 1 1/2 hours at the most and usually less. when I am...
Thanks to all. I just got a brace that I use 3 - 4 times a day with increasing times. It doesn’t hurt, can be a bit uncomfortable. So taking your advice, I am just going to try to stop worrying and be patient. I am very fortunate - have very little pain although there is stiffness. I really...
Ok so I am 8 weeks post surgery. My range of motion seems fine but straightening is an issue. At least according to PT and dr. Not horrible but they make me think it should be better. I am currently at 5 and I know they want it down to 0 or 1. So I am really working hard on straightening...

Thanks for support as usual. I managed to do dishes, a load of laundry and then collapsed. My husband is babysitting grandkids - he would have never let me do all that. But now and can sit and veg ( or fall asleep)
Just having a sad day, pity party. Rainy, wet, cold Northeast winter. Course that’s why I chose this time of the year - so I don’t have to miss out on all the fun stuff when the weather gets better. Just wish I would stop being so tired. love this blog. It’s such a good place to have going...
My surgery was Jan 4 on the left knee. its really great to know what a good knee feels like after only 3 weeks! It’s the right one that’s acting up in the cold weather. I know I need that one done as well and that was part of the frustration. My dr did not want to do 2 at the same time so I...
It was wonderful to discover this blog. I am 3 weeks post knee replacement surgery And while the knee is healing and I am dealing fairly well with pain and PT, I don’t think I ever expected the recovery from surgery in general to be so difficult. There are days when I just want to cry because I...
