12 weeks post-op this coming Monday and I THOUGHT the clicking in my knee had gone away, but as of 3 days ago it back which a vengeance. Now it's present not only for every step I take, but I also feel it with every rotation while pedaling the stationary bike. It's annoying!

I am dumbfounded by all the contradictory theories out there! But I'm beginning to SEE for myself that no amount of aggressive PT I do helps. It always feels good when I'm doing it, but later the swelling invariably comes and debilitates me, sometimes for days. I just worry about losing...

Today I am 10 weeks post op Right TKR, with a MUA at post op week 6. I have been able to ride the stationary bikes (recumbent and upright) at the gym, which I have been doing for 45 minutes every other day and have been swimming as well. I stopped going to PT because I had rebound swelling...

    TKR ROM

I had 'clicking' as well. Not audible, but I could feel a click with every step and found it pretty annoying. I discovered if I walked 'lazy' and loose it clicked but if I kept my thigh muscles engaged all the time it stopped. That lasted for a couple of weeks and then it stopped altogether.

I have an existing thread from a few weeks ago. At 7 weeks post-op now I have had a manipulation under anesthesia because my max flexion was only 99 degrees and my orthopod thought I should be at 120. The knee itself does NOT hurt. My problem is that my quadriceps are SO tight and hard...

At 4 weeks post-op today, is it too soon to start massaging my incision? There are no scabs remaining and it looks entirely closed.

Sorry, forgot to mention my TKR surgery was July 1, my right knee which had pre-existing hardware from an open reduction internal fixation for a fractured tibial plateau 1975. My orthopod was successfully removed the two pins before seating my prosthesis.
