    I knew I came to the right place to get answers! Josephine, your kitty looks as though she owns the place. I read once that in ancient Egypt cats were worshipped as gods, and to this day cats have never forgotten that fact.

    Leg weakness prior to Surgery

    I have the same weakness problem in my leg of my bad hip. My GP told me that when she looked at me from behind, she could see that my buttocks muscles were not even, one was smaller than the other! So I'm not surprised that your leg is weaker.

    Well I thank all of you for the encouragement about the recovery period. I will be doing the ice packet and although my cat will be curious about it, she won't want to lay on it. Another question -- for those of you who have a two story house,did you have a lot of trouble getting up and down...

    I haven't seen this addressed, so I will ask. To start out, my cat's favorite mattress is.....Me! I don't mind her pretending she is a mountain goat, roaming up and down the valleys and peaks of my body at night, but I'm thinking it may be rather uncomfortable after my surgery in three weeks...
