Yes I had pin and screws removed from outside of left thigh. Had broken it a few years before THR so incision was longer and healing was longer. 3 mo out feels great but abductor muscle still a tad weak. Hip implant was longest he said he ever used..
Well I am two months post op and doing well.. surgical hip feels great other then IT band still tight.. It is shorter then the non surgical leg so my gate is a bit limpy. This will be evened up when my right Hip is done next mo... You should have seen my Docs face when on 3rd week after surgery...
I had the same problem, my therapist had me use my coke bottle and press into thigh and roll it back n forth down the length to knee.. had immediate relief...
@redduke I was alone 95 percent of the time... when i was sitting on the couch i put feet on the arms.. also used the recliner alot.. pillows between are cool.. the wedge had straps to put around legs so even when tossing in my sleep it stayed between legs... the muscles around the prosthetic...
