I had my total reverse shoulder replacement on my dominant arm on 7/8. Nerve block wore off afternoon of 7/9. I took my arm out of my sling after about 4 hours of pain and let my arm hang and pain went away. Stayed on Oxycodone for 5 days, then just took Tylenol. It is awkward getting around...
Just got the call to be at the surgery center at 6:30 am Monday. I'm nervous and excited. Lucky to be staying with family for the first 10 days of recovery.
Scheduled TRSR in one week. I am as prepared as I can be. Looking forward to the recovery side.
Had a knee replacement last year which went well all around.
Nervous about pain with this upcoming surgery.
Any words of advice?
Hi Ron,
Thanks for posting your progress. Have you had to take any oxycodone or other meds to help with the pain?
I appreciate your posts as I get ready for my surgery on 7/8/2024.
Good luck with your continued recovery.
My surgeon recommended that I do pre-hab prior to my shoulder surgery in July. I am working with PT to strengthen shoulder muscles and try to increase range of motion. My shoulder pain is more manageable since I have started PT.
Got my surgery date for my TSR - July 8, 2024.
Starting weekly pre-hab PT for strengthening this week. Surgeon advised to do so.
I'm excited to know that my right shoulder functionality will come back.
Reverse shoulder replacement.
Hello everyone,
I am in the process of scheduling my surgery for July 2024. Question: I work from home and am wondering if others went back to work at 2 weeks after surgery. If you did can you let me know what that was like?
Hi Jingrum,
I'm looking at getting my TRSR in the next two months. I am curious how your recovery is going. I work from home, so I am curious to know if you think you would be able resume work responsibilities at 4 weeks post op.
Wishing you the best with your recovery.
How did your shoulder replacement and recovery go? I have to have my right shoulder replaced and have my surgery consult on the 29th.
Any advice you can provide related to recovery would be great.
Hello everyone,
I need a new right shoulder and have a surgery consult next week to discuss timing, etc. My top of mind questions are really around recovery. I work from home and wonder when others were able to get back to work after the surgery, desk job.
Any information greatly appreciated...
