THR Newly bionic Woman Checking I

My doctor recommended two 650 mg tablets of generic acetaminophen from the supermarket daily, once in the AM and again in the PM. This is working well for me.

THR Newly bionic Woman Checking I

I'm glad to hear that you are home and doing well T&T! I left HOI Weds PM as well. Now it is up to us to follow the PT regimen, follow the mantra and be good patients. My biggest complaint so far is that Huntington Beach has a few uneven joints on their sidewalks. Gotta watch out for those...

THR Newly bionic Woman Checking I

T&T , are you at HOI or at home? My primary care nurse Chelsea changed my medication last night even through I didn't directly make a request. I mentioned that I had some discomfort dragging the affected leg out of bed and she modified medicine and dose. In the event you're still there I'm...

    THR LeftBrain - 1-April-2013 RTHR

Motored around some more late evening on day #2. Starting to get a bit more discomfort, which I expected, but I'd characterize it as 3-3.5. Dr guesses ill be home tomorrow, so that's encouraging. Check in again tomorrow. Thanks to all for your good wishes & support.

    THR LeftBrain - 1-April-2013 RTHR

Thanks, Josephine. Took a walk down the hall and back, hung around the room with the joint bearing the weight. Seems to be working like a champ. Few more excursions planned for later. No '90 degree' limitations or instructions, so I was happy about that. I'll check in later.

    LeftBrain - 1-April-2013

Yes, my surgery was completed successfully yesterday, but about 4 hours late. Something about this reminds me of flying though O'Hare: could be significantly delays, just gotta roll with it Spent some time walking around the room; turned a few corners, etc. No pain. So far so good. Looking to...

    LeftBrain - 1-April-2013

We're all going to have a walking race post-op. Our first 100 meters will be timed with a calendar rather than a stopwatch.

    LeftBrain - 1-April-2013

Thanks, Sharon. As my surgery nears, I think I'm getting through my head the facts that the only things I can control are a very positive attitude toward rehabilitation, to 'be a good patient', and to follow the advice of specialists as closely as I can. When driving clearance happens, it...

    LeftBrain - 1-April-2013

I understand that I have no cartilage in my R hip and have recently started to miss it; difficult to walk for any period of time without discomfort/mod pain, etc. I have had an L ACL recon some time ago, surgery on my feet and have one leg slightly shorter than the other - I suspect that my...
