I am now at just over 3 months out. ROM is over 100 consistently and I can finally ride the recumbent bike at the gym.
I find after going to the gym or swimming, I am sore the next day. So I end up resting every other day. I still ice regularly especially after activity. I am walking about...
So here I am at 10 weeks out today. I have been discharged from PT. My ROM is just about 100° and still have a little swelling and some pain after exertion. I have gone back to the pool and also am rowing and walking.
I can walk up stairs mostly normally, but don't do stairs too much...
It will be 4 weeks tomorrow. Because of a misunderst, haven't been able to go back to work other than what I did at 2 weeks while at home. I pick up my doctors note tomorrow to allow me back. I plan to start in on Monday partially at home and partially at the office.
I am 51 so yes...
Lol! Yes, we want it yesterday! I am moving a little better, bit doing too much moving or exercising. Just little bit here and there. I may be out of work most of this week. All without pay! I need a doctor's note before I can go back, so that will take a couple days to get done.
So...
Yes, I too need to pay attention to what my knee is telling. So far the only ill effects from 2 days of PT is a little tenderness and tightness. Will see how it is tomorrow. That will be the best gauge I think.
As for disability, I can't afford to leave work. I am entitled to 280 hours of...
My PT is good so far. She takes me to the edge and let's me decide if taking a bit more is too much. The concern is I was only about 60 to 70 degrees. They felt I should be more like 90. I will say that I move better after therapy. Things seem to loosen up. But am finding everyone is of the...
Wal-Mart involved a mart cart. Not so much walking.
PT this week two days in a row. Up to 80 degrees. So far she takes me to the point of discomfort and just a smidge beyond. Based on my comfort level. So far it hasn't been a problem.
Ice is still my friend.

I understand your frustration. I am 3 weeks out and only have ROM from 2 to 70. I can't use the bicycle. Only walk short distances.
Saw PT today and she pushed me but not past my pain point. Just the little we did today made my knee burn. Feels like it is on fire. And it tightens up. I...
I will be 3 weeks out tomorrow. My bruising was from back of thigh down to ankle. It is finally turning light purple and yellow. So pretty. I too am finding if I am a bit active, I have to rest. I went out yesterday, alone! Saw my surgeon and then to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things. I...
Does the type of knee you get make a difference in your recovery?
I went out again today for a couple hours. Didn't do much walking, but some. And I was able to drive.
I feel pretty good. A little tired. But I am resting and icing.
ROM is getting a little better. Not doing any real...
Read everything. Am not pushing myself. Doing more moving around the house. Planning to add some of my yoga stretches. I think they will help.
Todays big event was that I forgot how to walk down stairs. I took one normal step. Holy Cow! That brought me down. The pain was...
Great information. I appreciate all your comments.
I slept in the recliner last night and got my legs elevated much better. Lost a lot of swelling.
Dealing with positional vertigo today and spent some time at emergency care. Had no idea what was going on, just knew I felt really awful...
1. Burning-ranges from a 1 to a 5 depending on if I have been icing or doing exercise
Stabbing-6 but just for the single millisecond pain. Happens several times A day
Throbbing-2 to a 4
Swelling - 4 to 7 depending on how much moving I have been doing
Pulling -2 to 8. The 8 when trying to bend...
