My bowel movements are changing for the worse because I know I'm taking too much ibuprofen. I will try and keep off them and I'm sure my bowels will appreciate that :yes:
Hi @Josephine , I know what you mean about the rip off techniques of the drug companies but maybe all in my mind but those back and Joint Nurofen do seem to help the back pain more than others I've tried but they are so expensive like you say. I've made an appointment with my GP for next week to...
Hi @Josephine
1) Yep, I do think the other knee needs doing but there's no way I'm going there yet!
2) I take co-codamol at bedtime as it gives me about 4 hours sleep, I can't take it through the day as it sends me to sleep big time. I know what you mean about upsetting my tummy with certain...
Hi @Josephine
Below are my answers to your questions but bear in mind these incorporate BOTH knees, new and old, whole leg of the RTKR and lower back.
1) pain level is 8 both knees and right leg and up to 9 in lower back
2) co-codamol 30/500 mg x 2 at bedtime
Nurofen 256 mg x 2 every 4-6 hours...

Hi Josephine, my pain is mainly in the centre of my new knee, back and front but pain radiating up and down the whole leg. Severe pain in my lower back too

Well here we are, 2 years down the line and I'm in more pain now than before the OP...
@referee54
Hi, I know just what you mean, I too have wandered the nights in search of that elusive place where sleep comes and lasts for 7 hours!! Will I ever find it?? My doctor gave me 2 weeks sleeping pills which worked a little giving me about 4 hours of sleep but as soon as I stopped them...
@newlybionic
Hi, I can relate to everything you say, I've been just the same, nowhere seems to be a comfortable place to sleep! I'm now taking one 500 mg Naproxen at bedtime and this seems to help, falling asleep for about 3 hours before I wake and the 'tossing and turning' starts for the rest...
I'm 16 weeks post op and still not back at work! The stiffness and swelling in my knee and still no proper sleep ( 4 months sleep deprivation is sending me insane!) is the reason I don't feel able to do my job. I have employed the help of a chiropractor who has examined my knee and found it to...
