Been awhile since I've been on here! I started a new job and it's at the hospital where I had my hip replacement! And as of right now I am actually working on the exact same floor that I was on for post op. So I spend a lot of time in my old room with other joint replacements, kinda funny. My...
I figured I'd give an update and since it's my ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of the surgery, what better day to do it! [emoji847][emoji322]. One year. I remember how stressed, scared and ticked off I was leading up to the surgery but the day of, I was cool as a cucumber. . Which is weird, cuz you all...
Hope all is well and everyone had a good holiday. Hip update...IT'S GREAT! I was so frustrated before, but I've been patient and things have calmed down as far as my hip goes. Barely ANY pain! Some tinges of discomfort and i still swell up after a lot of activity but its not hindering my...
So I went back to the surgeon and was freaking out all morning before my appt! :yikes: My main concern was that there was something wrong with the prosthetic and they would need to go back in. He said X-Rays looked PERFECT! What a really' relief! :happydance:As I suspected iliopsoas tendonitis...
So I had to make an appointment with my OS. They can get me in Friday. I can't do this and need some sort of answer and weight off my shoulders. Fingers crossed! Could use some good vibes sent my way! [emoji20]I'm terrified of what they would say.

I made it through my first work week. Only four days but I made it! (Celebrating this 'milestone' with a watermelon margarita) Heck yes. Pain wise... I had good days and bad. And really it was just ONE really, really bad day. Win. Swelling is the biggest issue, it just does not want to go down...
Been away for awhile! Life has been busy and with this awesome weather we've been having I have spent most of my time outside! :flwrysmile:Welll... I'm officially 12 weeks post op! 12 weeks! I made it! :happydance:Things are going very well although with increased activity I get some swelling...
Offically 8 weeks today! Time is flying by! And being able to bend at the waist it life changing. But I still struggle with getting socks on because of no twisting. I'm in virtually NO pain, just occasional aches after a busy day. I'm sleeping through the night, I'm going up and down steps in a...
Thursday I was 7 weeks post op! Things are going great. I have been walking a lot. We bought a house last year with a huge yard on the side (I call it a field) and I do laps around that. I love it for the uneven ground to work on stability. We've finally had some nice weather so walking out in...
