    SuperPath/Olsen/dysplasia

Thanks BeckyR! I agree, ballet is brutal! I can deal with pain pretty well. The comment is coming from a surgeon who allowed oral oxycodone as the only post op pain control for my open dislocation and debridements. Never a drip or IV meds and says people should be med free within a week of...

    SuperPath/Olsen/dysplasia

Oh thank you thank you thank you sandybeach! This makes me feel so much better! I am 39 and I know its awfully young for this but its also too young to live in crazy pain. I can't grocery shop, clean my house, properly parent my six and ten year old children or even work at this point. He...

    SuperPath/Olsen/dysplasia

I saw my surgeon yesterday. He said my left trochanter is healed completely and my right is half way so he isn't worried about it at all. He said he can't do anything else to help me and does not recommend THR. It was an unpleasant appt as he suggested it may be my low pain tolerance that is...

    SuperPath/Olsen/dysplasia

I am in an FAI Facebook group that he is in. I had posted my X-ray and had some questions and he responded. He's a wonderful man as far as FB can portray. He's been very helpful. What you have said he makes a lot of sense and is a huge relief if it can be done. I am not sure American doctors do...

    SuperPath/Olsen/dysplasia

I was so afraid of that Jo. I cannot believe he hasn't fixed my nonunion. It was evident at my nine week post op X-ray but he did my other open surgery anyway....when it was still there at the four month mark, the screws had also backed out and the bone had moved and he still said to wait!! Now...

    SuperPath/Olsen/dysplasia

Ok now that we know what I had, any thoughts? I am also concerned about my nonunion of the trochanter. Can this be fixed during replacement surgery? I spoke with a surgeon today who said my hip would not have dislocated unless I have a broken bone, which I do, my trochanter. But she also said...

Open Surgical Dislocation and Debridements. It is when they perform a trochanteric osteotomy and then do rim trimming, cam removal, debride the labrum and chondral damage. When I previously posted on it, you mentioned that it sounded very traumatic, and it certainly was. I have had no relief...

    SuperPath/Olsen/dysplasia

Oh Gosh, Poppet, it has been so long I had forgotten how it works here. So sorry, merge away. I am really sorry for that. It was so sad for me to read my old posts and to know that everyone was right, but me. My open surgical dislocations and debridements have been a failure too. They were awful...

    SuperPath/Olsen/dysplasia

Hi. Its been a long time since I've been here. I have now had a scope, and bilateral Open SDD surgeries and nothing has helped. I am in search of replacement doctors now. I was interested in the SuperPath technique and I have a surgeon close to me but the only place I have asked about him, I was...

Welcome oldyellr! I didn't have trouble with the arm pits as much as the wrists and overall clunkiness. I did get my new walk easy forearm crutches today and I looooove them!

    Drugs and second guessing

George, I take a bit more. I take 2 5 mgs in the afternoon and 1 more before bed. Still not awful but I hope I can make do.
