    Ice Packs

    Thought I would share my ice pack experience so far! My favorite is the reusable 8 hour CryoMax Cold pack with comfort wrap, it stays cold for many hours. I tried other gel packs but they don't last very long. I also tried making my own and they leaked, even in a double bag! Ice, my new best friend!

    Thanks Carriemay60! Glad you are on the mend too. I am enjoying hgtv and a few other shows! Not much tv before that. The days go by quickly. Keep up the good work!

    Surgery was Aug 12. Just an update...I'm doing very well, yippee! I feel better every day. Lots of rest, ice, elevation and a little bit of exercise. Still walking with the walker but hoping for cane next week, then all alone soon to follow! I can get in/out of bed much easier, finding surgery...

    All went well Tuesday. Went home Wed, wished I would have stayed another day or two. Forgot how hard it is to get out of your own flat bed without arms! Every muscle was sore by Thursday. Getting better every day.

    I've crossed to the post op thr area :). Surgery went well on Tuesday. Went home on Wed. Should have stayed another day or two. Getting better every day :)

    Any recommendations for which ice packs are the best? Which ones last the longest? I am thinking about making my own with the water and alcohol formula. Has anyone tried that? Thanks!
