Well, I had the ultrasound guided cortisone injection on the 7th May...Boy did I feel that one as it entered the bursa...just about jumped three feet in the air! Must say it has been a success so far and has eased the pain somewhat. Well 10 days later my better half and I set off on a three...
Thanks for your input Krista and Mojo. Ultra Sound Guided Injection is slated for next Tuesday. I'll let you know how it goes. I am using the stick again, must admit it does help, my better half tells me that I just have to accept the situation and get on with life. Sage advice indeed.
Cheers...
Mojo, I like the Crusty Old Cane Guy...My wife tells me I'm Grumpy anyway...No my gig was to give a paper at a Mushroom Conference, I'm not a musician! Well today I saw OS number 2...What an amazing guy, explained everything in great detail and really checked me out. So the upshot...he says the...
Cheers Krista and Mojo...I'll keep you advised. It turns out that my GP had attended a lecture given by the new OS, only two weeks back and was really impressed. Got to be a good sign heh? I'm not sure when I'll get to see the new guy as I am off to New Zealand next week for a gig over there...

Hi Krista. Thanks for your comments and support...very much appreciated. Josephine thanks for your observations.
Unfortunately and it seems to be a common thread on this forum that a few OS out there are not very sympathetic when patients return with chronic pain after surgery and are looking...
Well I saw the alternate OS today. He checked the xrays and MRI scan and said that my original surgeon had done a good job on the hip replacement.
Essentially he told me that the gluteus minimus muscle doesn't really do too much and that as the ligament is attached to the hip capsule, it...
I had a THR of my right hip posterior approach in July 17. All went well for the first couple of months, I was walking 3-4 Km per day on the cane, back in work full time eight weeks later.
Everything fell apart in September 17, when we had a huge straw fire at work. I guess I overdid things...
